Vine Leaves with Trotters and Marrow
Vine leaves on their own are a story, and trotters on their own are a story. But when the two come together, with marrow too, we are talking about something else entirely.

Vine leaves just the way you like them
Our trotters (kawarea, the feet) are beef, and the marrow comes from inside the bone. These are ingredients with a place of honour for anyone who loves authentic Egyptian food.
The stuffed vine leaves are cooked slowly with the trotters until they soak up their flavour, and are served in a small clay pot.
To turn the story up a notch, there are the Vine Leaves with Trotters & Marrow: the same rich dish, with the marrow and its distinctive flavour.
The marrow in the Vine Leaves with Trotters & Marrow and in the Trotters & Marrow Fatta is roasted in its bone and then spooned over the trotters.
Trotters have more than one road
If you love trotters, there is Trotters Fatta, Marrow Fatta and Trotters & Marrow Fatta, plus Plain Trotters Soup, Boneless Trotters Soup and El-Dala' Soup with double boneless trotters.
And our vine leaves are not only with trotters: you will also find them with meat, or on their own among the homemade mahshi.
