Stuffed Pigeon, the Traditional Way
Stuffed pigeon has a proud place on the Egyptian table. At Hagouga we make it the way we learned from our families: stuffed with rice and browned in country ghee. And we also left our own mark with pigeon with cream.

Stuffed pigeon, by the book
Pigeon stuffed with rice and browned in country ghee, with golden skin and a rich flavour. An authentic Egyptian dish that needs no inventions, only to be done right.
We serve it on a Hagouga plate over a bed of parsley, with the rice stuffing showing through the opening of the bird.
From stuffed pigeon to Hagouga's creations
Pigeon with cream is one of the dishes we are proud of at Hagouga. We were the first to bring this idea to restaurants, combining Egyptian pigeon with country cream in a way that later appeared in other places.
We also have the Pigeon Tower Clay Pot: a stuffed pigeon with butter rice and mazalika, all in one clay pot. A dish for people who love pigeon and rice at their richest.
Mazalika, for those who know its worth, is the pigeon's livers and gizzards. We also serve “Mazalika” fully dressed, and the “Signature Mazalika” in country ghee.
If you love pigeon, we also have pigeon soup, besides the stuffed pigeon, the pigeon with cream and the pigeon tower clay pot.
